    • The article discusses the prospects for the development of digital translation, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. An attempt is made to predict the evolution of machine translation using an example of the interaction of artificial intelligence and a French translator’s practical activities. A comparative analysis of student translations from French into Russian with machine translation options is carried out.
